Koi Pond: Mixed-Media Collages

These collages are a continuation of the koi motif that was used in a digital print series titled “Koi Pond,” created circa 2012. In Japanese garden design, the koi pond is a physical manifestation of the Zen view of the ephemeral quality of life and beauty. The koi's exquisitely beautiful colors and patterns have inspired painters, print makers, and poets for centuries.

Technical Notes

The mixed-media collages include digital photographic prints, pigmented acrylic inks, and colored pencils. All are lightfast. The collages range in size from 7x7 inch to 9x12 inch.
